Hello from the Garden Centre

Well it is very quiet here without all you lovely customers but we just wanted to let you know we appreciate you staying home and staying safe. While we are closed we have a very small team in making sure all the plants are getting watered and looked after.

We are reviewing home deliveries next week but we have a lot of work to do yet to make sure this can be done safely for our staff and customers.

Please be patient with us and keep an eye on our social media/web page. Most importantly please stay home, please stay safe and we are looking forward to welcoming you all back when this is over.

All the Trimmings…

All the Trimmings…

Are you getting geared up for the Christmas festivities?

This weekend is predicted to be a full on with flurry of festive purchasing and we’d love to help you out with a spot of hassle-free tree shopping.

Our undercover elves are on top form this year with many happy tree purchasers already enjoying that Christmas smell in their homes thanks to our lovely REAL trees.

You may already know, but, our trees are stored in a dry shed for you to browse. Choose your perfect Fir or Spruce (we can help if you like) and we can wrap it and take to your car (or even arrange for us to deliver it to you during the week, ask us more in store).

What else do you need to stock up for Christmas – logs? We have stacks of them.

These marvellous elves are also running a roaring trade in our other festive favourites thanks to our shop full of Poinsettias, Cyclamens, mixed planters and a range of other indoor plants. These along with a whole range of gardening tools are sure-fired winners for gifts for the gardener (aspiring or seasoned!) in your life. If you are really struggling for inspiration remember we sell both our own gift vouchers and national garden gift vouchers. Nothing last minute about these decisions – just meeting that Christmas deadlines!

We’re noticing a real rise in people picking up our handmade Holly and Fir wreaths as well as choosing festive plants as gifts when visiting – a nice change from bottles or chocolates (though we know you like those too!).

So we hope to see you this weekend and enjoy spreading some real Christmas magic with us!

Ho Ho Ho, MERRY CHRISTMAS from Simon and the team at Ben Reid Garden Centre

Time to Keep it Real – Christmas Trees

“Its the most Tree-mendous time of year…”

Time to bring some festive spirit into your home with one of our REAL Christmas trees.

We know lots of places sell Christmas trees, but ours really are good. And we make it really easy.

We display all our trees in a big dry shed and unwrapped so you can really see what they look like. We have plenty of undercover elves on hand to help you find the perfect Christmas tree. Once you have chosen your perfect tree we will wrap it back up for you and carry it to the car if you want us to. If you need it delivered we can do this during the week, just ask one of our team about it.

If you want advice on which tree is best for your home, space or lifestyle, we can also tell you as much or as little as you’d like – we have a range of Firs and Spruce trees all in stock now.

Need a stand? We’ve got some good ones you can choose from. Lights? We have some good ones of those too.  Decorations? Er no. But we are guessing you have lots of them tucked away from last year anyway.

Just imagine that Christmas smell welcoming you home each day… You know it’s worth all those needles poking out for the rest of the year!

We look forward to welcoming you to Ben Reid very soon.
